Helping the Local Community

We live in one of the best places in the world.  Besides the stunning location one of the things that makes living and working in the area is the community in which we live.  Mike and the staff at Survcon have provided free surveying services for a range of community/local club projects over the past 15 years.  We are happy to help out the Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Dunsborough communities who do so much for the rest of us.

Some of the community/clubs we have helped include:

Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club

The yacht club are currently trying to extend the existing club house.  Survcon has provided an up to date feature survey of the existing club rooms, carparks and surrounds in MGA50 and AHD all tied to the lot boundary.  This plan is being used to design the club house extensions.  The extension means that the current lot area is too small. Currently Survcon is liaising with the City of Busselton, State Lands and the Dunsborough bay Yacht club in order to amend the boundary.  This will invole the survey of the new area and lodgement of a new deposited plan to register the amended land parcel.  Although the project is time consuming Survcon is proud to help the Dunsborough community.

Busselton Sea Rescue

The Busselton Sea Rescue group are investigating the possibility of an extension to the existing building used to store the sea rescue boats.  We were asked for any information we might have to enable the extension to be designed as Survcon had been involved in the Busselton Foreshore project.  We surveyed the existing building and surrounds for the purposes of design.  The job involved establishing AHD on site and plotting the boundary accuratelt to ensure the new extension does not encroach on a public reserve.

Eagle Bay Community Centre

The local community of Eagle bay wanted to build a community centre at the Rocky Point car park  We provided the survey for the design of the new building.  This involved a number of site visits to meet with the community members and show then how the proposed building would sit on the site.  Once the final design was decided on Survcon provided survey set out and datums for the builder.  The building is now finished and we are proud to say we played a small part in the facilitation of this wonderful community building.

Testimonial

"Mike and the staff at Survcon went above and beyond in assiting us in subdividing our block.  We were impressed with the level of service we received even though our project was relatively small.  We were made to feel as though we were the most important client they have ever had.  Mike must have spent more time talking us through the process than it took to do the survey.  We couldn't have done it without Mike and his staff's assistance."
